This is the case, for example, whenparts of a company are spun off and become independent as subsidiaries.Management buy-outs are also more frequent in the course of successionplanning for companies. A company founder, for example, retires from themanagement of the company for age reasons and hands over his companyto the long-term management. As a rule, an MBO is financed primarily withthe help of private equity companies.
