"Marketing goes beyond facts and creates emotional connections. For me, it's an art form that requires creativity and intuition."
As Marketing Manager in Nils Greinert's team, Janina is responsible for internal communication and employer branding. She is also one of the hosts of the GAMBIT podcast "Mit Herz und Hirn" and part of the editorial team of "PULSE", the GAMBIT magazine.
Every few weeks, Janina is seized by a thirst for action. Furniture is moved, decorations are renewed - and suddenly a breath of fresh air blows through her apartment again. "I just love giving my surroundings new impulses again and again," says Janina and laughs.
But it's not just in her private life that Janina enjoys trying out new things. Her work is also characterized by the courage to change. "What I appreciate so much about GAMBIT as an employer is that I can really change things here," she says. "I can try my hand as a podcast host, reorganize internal communication - and I don't have to be afraid of what will happen if it doesn't work out. The supposedly crazy idea often turns into a real success."
The topic of "internal communication" is particularly close to Janina's heart. "If it's successful, it has many positive effects on the company. It creates transparency, increases employee loyalty and strengthens collaboration." Since the Gambiverse, GAMBIT's interactive, modern social intranet, was launched, Janina has enjoyed helping her passion project grow.
Despite the fact that she works 100% from home, Janina feels a strong connection to her team. It's a mutual feeling! Because anyone who works with her knows that wherever Janina is, there is always a breath of fresh air blowing through the working day.
Janina did her first internship in marketing at the age of 16. Shortly afterwards, she was completely convinced that she had found the right career. Love at first sight, which continues to this day.
Janina not only enjoys recording podcasts, she is an avid listener herself. During the day, she prefers to listen to marketing podcasts, but when she falls asleep, she also likes to listen to scary true crime podcasts.
Janina loves to travel - other countries fascinate her, from Spain to Bali. Nevertheless, she always stays close to her home in Heidelberg. "I just absolutely love the city," says Janina.
Creating a good work structure when working from home is not that easy. That's why Janina starts each day with a short walk and a meditation session - then she can get going full of energy.
In the podcast "Mit Herz und Hirn", Janina talks to her colleagues about everyday life at GAMBIT.
